Shriners Classic

Texas A&M had a good showing as they had a 2-1 record at this past weekend’s Shriners Classic held at Minute Maid Park. This slide into home plate represented one of the runs by the No. 15 ranked Aggies in the 13-1 pounding of the Rice Owls on Friday.

Texas Christian University head coach Kirk Saarloos liked his surroundings at last week’s Shriners Children’s College Classic.

“When you win,” Saarloos said, the sting of a 3-2 loss to No. 9 nationally ranked Louisville still apparent after Saturday’s game. “But it’s always good to test yourself against a quality opponent.”
