Though the Barbers Hill Eagles lost starting quarterback Kaleb Denny to injury early in the first quarter, they were able to come together in front of a capacity home crowd and have their most complete game of the season, shutting out the New Caney Porter Spartans 41-0.

The Eagles’ scoring started early with Denny keeping it on the option and running around the end for an 11-yard touchdown. Porter fumbled on the ensuing kickoff and it was recovered by the Eagles’ Edgar Morales at the Spartan 31-yard line.
