Goose Creek Memorial’s Taylor Kotlarz attacks during Friday’s scrimmage against Beaumont United. Kotlarz says the new-look District 22-5A featuring all three Baytown schools adds “fuel” to the new season. The new season begins tonight with multiple matches being played in the area.

The Sterling High School volleyball team may have lost a lot of senior experience from a year ago, but there is no mistaking the Lady Rangers’ talent this fall.

Sterling hopes to parlay that ability as a new Class 5A team this fall as it enters District 21-5A along with city rivals Robert E. Lee and Goose Creek Memorial.
