Goose Creek Memorial graduate Deandre Lamont has his eyes set on becoming one of the top defensive backs in the Southland Conference as a redshirt sophomore this season.

When opportunity presented itself, Deandre Lamont made the most of his opportunity.

The former Goose Creek Memorial standout entered the University of Central Arkansas starting lineup because of an injury and Lamont proceeded to establish himself. He finished with 46 tackles, one tackle for a loss and an interception to help lead the team to a 9-4 record and a playoff berth.
