Even if they lost, the Sterling Lady Rangers played one of their better matches this season as they scrambled, battled and contested Friendswood every step of the way Tuesday night.

The visiting Lady Mustangs (25-7, 6-1) swept Sterling 3-0 (25-21, 25-19, 26-24) but not before having to endure numerous rallies, miraculous saves and some blistering hitting from RSS (15-10, 3-3).
