Sterling’s Kristy Hill, 5, looks for an open teammate during the Lady Rangers 55-45 loss to La Porte Saturday afternoon.

With a chance to potentially improve its District 22-5A standing, the Sterling Lady Rangers basketball team dropped a 55-45 home decision against La Porte Saturday.

The defeat moved Sterling (11-5 in district) into fourth place and a bi-district Region 3 playoff against unbeaten Beaumont United next week.
