The Friendswood Mustangs used a 13-3 run to end the first quarter and  used that momentum to hold on for a 55-42 victory Saturday in Baytown.

Sterling (6-12, 5-9) was led by Drake Jackson (18 points, six rebounds) and Jacob Wood (10 points), while the Rangers lost promising freshman big man Robert Miller Jr. to a rolled ankle and couldn’t finish the contest according to head coach Johnny Daniels.
