It took a narrow win in the first set by the Goose Creek Memorial Lady Patriots volleyball team to squash any potential momentum of hosts Robert E. Lee to earn their first win in district play.

GCM (13-9, 1-2) pulled away to deny REL its first District 22-5A win in kind with a 3-0 (25-23, 25-14, 25-16) win as Zoe Martinez finished with 24 assists and five aces, Christian Stringer recorded nine kills and Tori Macias added 11 digs.
