Barbers Hill’s Cole Anderson, 24, wins the jump against Crosby’s Jaydon Samuel in Tuesday night’s matchup between district rivals.

A close game between rivals turned into a lopsided affair as the Crosby Cougars used a dominant third quarter to pull away from host Barbers Hill, 98-54 in District 21-5A play Tuesday.

The two teams were locked in a high-scoring, seesaw battle in the first half, as the Cougars (12-6, 7-3) held on for a 43-35 halftime edge.
