On September 17, we commemorated the formation and signing of the US Constitution. William Gladstone, a British statesman, declared that “the American Constitution is the most wonderful work ever struck off at a given time by the brain and purpose of man.” Many believe it is Divinely inspired.

It incorporates some thinking of French Philosopher Montesquieu who believed in the need to separate political power, this is seen in the United States in States vs. Federal power and in the three branches of government, i.e., Legislative, Executive and Judicial.
