She didn’t intend to adopt another dog, but Sam was nonnegotiable. When she spotted the poor fellow from a kill facility, she couldn’t abandon him. This probably was not one of her better decisions, but many of us understand her thinking.

She made a mental not that in her business dealings, maybe sharing dog stories would break the ice. At a dinner hosted by a non-profit organization, her tactic was to encourage  each person  to share a dog story. All of us have one, even if it dates back to childhood.
