Officials at Barbers Hill ISD have responded to a letter sent by lawyers for the NAACP Legal Defense & Educational Fund, which says about 100 or so students have been suspended for violating the district’s hair policy.

District officials say there is no truth to the claims, and they did not suspend any student or send any one home for violating the policy.
