Some of the biggest news from the 2021 regular session of the Texas legislature was from a law that didn’t pass, as Democrats used a walkout to block Republican efforts to change election laws.

A law to allow citizens to carry handguns without a permit — another Republican priority — also drew national attention when it passed.

Will ending tax payer paid lobbyist include our state government? I would assume our state government pay much higher dollar amounts on the lobbyists they send to D C than cities spend. Just because they use a different title for “lobbyists “, it’s still tax payer dollars. If it’s important for the cities of Texas it should also be required for our State government. All government requirements placed on its Citizens, Cities and Counties should also be required of its State. No exceptions.
