After the groundbreaking for the Hyatt Regency hotel and convention center on Bayland Island, city officials DPR Construction will soon be bringing in trucks with dirt to convert the project from dream to reality. The 208-room luxury hotel is expected to have a major economic impact in the area once completed. City officials say it should be ready for a ribbon-cutting ceremony in March 2023.  Turning dirt for the long-awaited Hyatt Regency hotel and convention center on Bayland Island was a dream come true for the city. Now, construction is set to begin, and city officials are ready to see the project turn into an actual structure.

DPR Construction will spend the next 18 months building the hotel and convention center.
