A wristband study aimed to determine what chemicals residents were exposed to in the wake of Hurricane Harvey did not detect PCBs, dioxins or furans.

In September, researchers from Texas A&M University and Oregon State University researchers enrolled individuals who received home flooding and continued to live in it; people who’s home was flooded and moved out; people whose home was not flooded but worked on cleaning a flooded house and those that did not receive any flooding and did not clean out a house.
