ANAHUAC — A Baytown detective took the stand in the trial of a suspect in the deaths of two teens, saying the triggerman had revealed some shocking information.

Baytown Det. Guadalupe Gonzalez answered questions from both prosecutors and defense attorneys Thursday in Judge Randy McDonald’s 344th District Court in Chambers County, where Jose Juan Chavez, 21, is on trial for his part in the murders of Robert E. Lee High School students Alejandro “Alex” Chavez, 18, and 17-year-old Jarvis Morgan. He has pleaded not guilty.
