Candidates filing

From top left clockwise are candidate for District 2 in Baytown City Council Michael Emmanuel, candidate for District 2 Sarah Graham, challenger for District 3 Ken Griffith and incumbent District 3 City Councilman Charles Johnson.

Since the filing period to be on the November ballot has begun, candidates have tossed their names into the ring in hopes of either being re-elected, unseating an incumbent, or taking the place of a politician who is not seeking another term.

The City of Baytown has three council positions up for election, while the nearby cities of Beach City and Old River-Winfree also have open positions. Crosby ISD has all seven board positions open this election cycle.
