During the recent winter storm, the water situation deteriorated so badly, 100% of water customers in Baytown were without water, city officials concurred.

When the Baytown Area Water Authority Water Treatment Plant went offline during last week, many were left without electricity, and Baytown residents had to also do without water. Many have asked what happened at the plant. Answers have been slow coming, mostly because the crisis is ongoing for a number of residents with busted pipes and will have no running water until repairs are complete.
