Goose Creek CISD administration members presented the layout of its facility renaming committee with some citizens expressing a few concerns while praising the district for forming it simultaneously. 

Matt Bolinger, executive director of strategic planning and innovation, Deputy Superintendent of Administrative Services Dr. Demetrius McCall, and Christi Leath, advanced academics and special projects director, provided the committee specifications. The board voted in favor of forming the committee in the wake of some controversy involving changing Robert E. Lee High School’s name, claiming the Civil War general symbolizes

Although I live out of town, it would seem to me that this timeline is too rushed. After Robert E. Lee High School's name has remained unchanged this long, what IS the rush? Thank you.
