Sometimes, things must be torn down for something better to take its place. Such is the case with Mt. Calvary Baptist Church on 501 S. Atlantic St.
The church’s roof collapsed in December. Rev. Raphael D. Montgomery, a lifelong member who has led the church since 2011, said they do not know what caused the collapse.
