The Channel view side of the Bates Collision Centers’ Re sponsible Parenting Award took place Thursday morning, with Houston resident Kimberlee Owens receiving a refurbished car.

In introducing the award, which the company has been awarding for 14 years, Leila Bates said, “There is really no more important work we need to do in our lifetime than be parents.” Bates and her husband Lee own the company, which has locations in Baytown and Channelview.
