Creeks

Chicken fried chicken with collard greens, green beans and macaroni and cheese at Creeks Kitchen. (Baytown Sun photo by Alan Dale)

Creeks Kitchen is more than just a restaurant, but to me it was a reminder of part of my original home and a lot of gentle nudges to let me know that if there is an afterlife, this is the kind of food I hope they serve there.

I went to Creeks (4915 East Freeway Service Road) and was shocked I hadn’t heard of it in my two-plus years living in Baytown.
