Jesse Quinones Jr.

Jesse Quinones Jr., 46, of Baytown, passed away February 5, 2010, with his family by his side. He was born May 2, 1963, in Alice, Texas, to Jesse Quinones, Sr. and Diana Esparza Quinones. He grew up in Baytown and was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School, where he enjoyed playing football. He formed lifelong friendships with many wonderful people that remain his close friends today. He was known for his contagious smile and his witty sense of humor. He never met a stranger, was always willing to lend a helping hand, and a hard worker. We will continue to see Jesse through his children and grandchildren in both their smiles and achievements.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Diana Esparza Quinones; grandparents, Pedro Esparza and Ercelia Benavides; uncle, Jose Rene Esparza; aunt, Delia Trevino. Left to mourn are his wife, Marcela Quinones, daughters and sons-in-law, Laura and Nathan Shostak and Steffani and Richard Holguin; sons, Nicholas Jesus Quinones and Edward Pacheco; grandchildren, Haiden and Kason Shostak and Jaden and Andrew Holguin. He is also survived by Mandy and Frank Hernandez, Lamar Santos, Araceli and Everardo Garcia, Rene and Sandra Quinones; Roy Gallardo and Sandra Hernandez; and numerous nieces and nephews.

His family received friends at Crespo and Jirrels Funeral Home on Monday, February 8, 2010, at 3:00 p.m. A service will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Crespo & Jirrels and burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Serving at pallbearers will be Christopher Hernandez, Everado Garcia, Jr., Nicholas Quinones, Luis Quinones Jr., James Ramirez, Roel Cardona, Robert Gomez, and Lucas Colunga. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Quinones, Joshua Garcia, Jeremy Hernandez, Andrew Sandoval, Daylan Santos, and numerous close friends. The family wishes to give a special thanks to all our friends for all their prayers and support during Jesse’s illness.
