Pressey, Navarro top Rebels 81-61

Baytown Sun Published February 7, 2010 CORSICANA – Lee College was called for five technical fouls, including three on one play, and Matt Pressey scored 32 points to lead Navarro College to an 81-61 win over the Rebels Saturday afternoon.
Navarro improved to 9-4 in Region XIV, 19-5 overall.
Pressey scored 23 of the Bulldogs’ 40 first-half points, including 19 points in a 20-9 Navarro run that made for an early 36-23 lead.
Lee College, which dropped to 5-8 in Region XIV play, was led by Jekore Tyler, who scored 16 points, and Greg Batieste with 12. Antone Byrd and Jacob McDonald each scored nine points.
Navarro led 40-25 at halftime and took a 73-53 lead on Keith Denson’s dunk with 5:34 left. Three technical fouls were called on Lee College after that play.
