Crosby beats Dayton by 23
DAYTON — The Crosby Cougars stole a 65-42 win on the road from the Dayton Broncos Friday night.
Keynan Garner dropped in 18 points to lead the Cougars and A.J. Anderson finished the night with 10.
The win advances the Cougars’ record to 10-18 overall and 4-7 in District 19-4A play.
P.A. Memorial takes Rangers
The Sterling Rangers lost 65-50 to P.A. Memorial.
Bralon Evans scored 16 points to lead the Rangers and Andre Corley had 14 on the night.
The Rangers’ record now stands at 13-16 overall and 1-6 in District 21-5A.
BCA hammers Lake Houston
KINGWOOD Gary Kissinger scored 13 points and led total of four Baytown Christian players into double figures in Friday’s 57-35 win over Lake Houston.
Jacob Hendricks scored 11 points for BCA and both Christian Domingeaux and Brad Armstrong had 10 points in the non-district game that was the sixth in a row for the Bulldogs, now 13-12 overall.
Sterling beats PA Memorial
PORT ARTHUR — The Sterling girls basketball team had a lot to play for Friday night as they looked fought to keep their playoff hopes alive, knocking off P.A. Memorial 39-35.
Keke Jackson led the Lady Rangers with 13 points and Denise White was next in line with 12.
Lady Rangers coach Laurie Welch said her team fought from behind for the win.
The win advances the Lady Rangers’ district record to 3-6.
Eagles take down Patriots
MONT BELVIEU — The Barbers Hill Lady Eagles handed the Goose Creek Memorial Lady Patriots a district loss Tuesday night in a 53-36 final.
Shannon Evans led Barbers Hill in scoring with 12 points.
The Lady Eagles are 12-0 in District 19-4A.
