On February 9, 1937 in Stoneham, Texas, Ms. Birdie was born to Cynthia Durst and John Stoneham. She moved to Baytown at an early age. She attended George Washington Carver School and Lee College for training as a Nursing Assistant. She worked for Texas Home Health until retirement.

She was baptized at an early age. She was a faithful member of Little Flock Baptist Church in Baytown, TX, Pastor John L. Bates until God called her home.

She loved helping people and was an active cook in the church.

On January 26, 2010 she departed this life to start a new one in heaven. She is preceded in death by both parents and a daughter Patsy Sue Wilson.

She was deeply loved and will be missed by her children, Debra Wilson Harris, Carl B. Wilson and Bridgett Wilson Kelley, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends.

Services were held at Robey Funeral Home 403 W. Sterling Ave, Baytown, TX. 77520; Visitation was Friday, Feb. 5, from 7--9p.m. and Funeral is Sat., Feb. 6, 11a.m. Pastor John L. Bates, Officiating. Interment at Zion Cemetery, Stoneham, TX.
