DUI arrest

Police arrested a Dayton man Sunday for driving under the influence after he was involved in a hit-and-run accident. The accident occurred in the 1400 block of North Alexander and the man was arrested in the 8100 block of North Highway 146, police said.

Stolen motorcycle

A black 2007 Yamaha RTI motorcycle with Texas license plate 3TV176 was stolen from an apartment complex in the 2700 block of Ward Road sometime between 2 a.m. and 10 a.m. Sunday. The motorcycle is worth an estimated $2,500.

Burglaries/

thefts

• Police said someone stole $500 worth of consumable goods from the 6100 block of Interstate 10 early Sunday.

• Someone forced their way into the bowling alley in the 700 block of Ward Road Sunday and then burglarized vending machine. The crime occurred between 3:15-7 a.m. Loss is estimated at $1,000, police said.

• A man told police someone stole the tailgate from his pickup truck while it was parked at the Lowe’s store on Garth Road between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sunday. Loss is $500.

• Police said someone stole a tire from a vehicle while it was parked at the Golden Corral restaurant, located in the 4600 block of Garth, between 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

Auto burglaries

• Someone broke into a vehicle parked in the apartment complex in the 2700 block of Ward Road overnight Saturday. Property worth about $200 was stolen, but recovered by police not far away.

• Police said someone broke into a vehicle parked at San Jacinto Mall while the vehicle’s owner and occupants were inside for just over an hour on Sunday. Items worth an estimated $500 were stolen. The crime occurred between 10:30 a.m. and noon.

• Someone burglarized and vandalized a vehicle while it was parked in the 2300 block of Taft Circle Sunday. Only $10 worth of property was stolen but the loss from the vandalism

• A wallet, an Ipod and a Social Security card were stolen from a vehicle while it was parked in the 3900 block of North Main from 5:25 p.m. to 7:10 p.m. Sunday.

48 offenses

Between Saturday and Monday mornings, Baytown police wrote 48 offense reports and investigated incidents that included five assaults; two auto thefts; three burglaries of buildings; eight vehicle burglaries; a criminal mischief case; two disorderly conduct cases; four driving while intoxicated cases; seven thefts; and seven miscellaneous cases.

Officers also worked 12 traffic accidents. Related injuries were reported at two of those accidents.
