Goose Creek Memorial at Beaumont Central
What: Class 4A Division I bidistrict playoff.
When/Where: Today, 7:30 p.m., Zaharias Stadium
Records: Goose Creek Memorial 7-3, Beaumont Central 7-3.
Last meeting: First meeting
Notes: Central went 5-2 in District 20-4A, losing its last two games to Livingston and Port Neches-Groves to finish second in district. GCM won its last four games to finish 5-2 and third place in District 19-4A, securing the first football playoff berth for the second-year school that was 1-8 a year ago ... GCM’s DeMartie Allen led 19-4A in rushing with 1,197 yards and 12 touchdowns while WR Keithen Collins topped the district in receiving with 42 catches for 681 yards and nine scores. QB Cody Larson was second in 19-4A passing with 1,650 yards and 12 TD passes ... Central RB Keith O’Neal was fourth among 20-4A rushers with 926 yards and 12 TDs while teammate Nijel Daw rushed for 540 yards and seven TDs ... Central finished fifth in 20-4A total offense with 287.5 yards per, 75 percent of which came on the ground. GCM was fourth in total defense in 19-4A, allowing 296.1 yards per game. The Patriots trailed only Dayton and Barbers Hill in 19-4A total offense at 325.5 yards per game. Central was No. 2 in defense in its league, giving up 261.9 yards per game.
Robert E. Lee vs. Pasadena Memorial

Records: Pasadena Memorial 8-2, Baytown Lee 3-7.
Last meeting: Pasadena Memorial, 35-10 in 2007 bidistrict
Notes: Pasadena Memorial thumped Lee in the two schools’ last meeting, a 2007 playoff game at Stallworth Stadium. Memorial’s Mavericks tied for the District 22-5A title with a 6-1 record; Lee went 2-3 to finish fourth in District 21-5A ... In a rebuilding year for the Mavericks, Tate Gresham led the team in both passing (847 yards, 11 TDs) and rushing (824 yards, 12 TDs) while Nathan Mourik was the Mavs’ top pass receiver with 39 receptions for 642 yards and nine TDs ... Dandrick Jackson (735 yards, 6 TDs) leads the Lee rushers, with Malcolm Ruben passing for 1,144 yards and 13 scores and Jaevon Richardson, the No. 2 receiver in 21-5A with 34 catches for 546 yards and eight TDs.
