Walter M. Richardson
Walter M. Richardson passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2009, in a Houston hospice center. He was born September 14, 1943, in Buna, Texas, to Thomas and Minnie (Kirkendoll) Richardson. He worked as a printer for Matherne’s Office Supply for 35 years. He was a member of Memorial Baptist Church, The Texas School of the Deaf, and the Houston Association of the Deaf. He enjoyed fishing and helping others.
Mr. Richardson is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Gloria Richardson; and two brothers. He is survived by his son, Ronnie Richardson of Houston; daughters, Lisa Hernandez and husband, David, of Baytown, and Laura Richardson, of Houston; sister, Iris Jean Miller; sister-in-law, Neil Richardson; six grandchildren, Heather Colon, Jimmy Ruzieck, Mary Hernandez, David “Boy” Hernandez Jr., Riley Richardson, and Jordyn Richardson; seven great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will follow the visitation at 11:00 a.m. at Crespo & Jirrels Chapel.
