Jared Maxie Heatherington

Jared Maxie Heatherington, Sr., 85, was called to his eternal rest by his Lord and Savior on November 3, 2009. He was born May 15, 1924, in Covington, Louisiana. Max was a United States Navy Sea-Bee, serving during World War II in the South Pacific on the island of Tinian. A loving husband to Helen Marie Heatherington for fifty-eight years and eight months, he retired from Brown and Root in 1990. Max also had the honor of being a 32nd degree Mason. For the last five years, he resided with his daughter and son-in-law in Rockport, Texas.

Preceded in death by his wife, Helen Marie, he is survived by two daughters, Sandra Carter and husband, Chuck, of Baytown and Gail Cruz and husband, Don, of Rockport; and one son, Jared Maxie Heatherington, Jr. and wife, Patty, of Orange Grove, Texas, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Luke 23:43

The family will receive friends for a memorial service at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2009, in the Chapel of Crespo & Jirrels. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the Kidney Foundation.
