Mary Frances Schofield
Mary Frances Schofield, 60, of Baytown, left this earth on Thursday, November 5, 2009, in a local hospital. She was born in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, on July 17, 1949, to Lister and Maurine Carter Schofield. Ms. Schofield moved to Baytown in 1960 and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School. She loved life, her family and people; especially the elderly. A faithful member of Baytown Revival Center, she was a gentle spirit and wonderful loving sister, aunt and friend, who would help anyone who needed help if she could.
Preceded in death by her mother, Maurine Schofield; nephew, Michael Wayne Cole; and brother-in-law, Ben Stubbs; she is survived by her father, Lister Schofield and wife, Joyce, of Anahuac; brothers, Bud Schofield and wife, Connie, of Highlands, and Leonard Schofield and Cathy Seal, of Baytown; sisters, Gwen Holt and husband, Jack, of Huffman, Ann Stubbs, of Baytown, Judy Donnelly and husband, Ken, of Baytown, Lisa Boutin and husband, David, and Janet Hoffeld and husband, Gary, all of Anahuac. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephew, great nieces, great nephews and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 8 p.m. on Friday, November 6, 2009, at Crespo & Jirrels. A service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2009 in the Chapel of Crespo & Jirrels, with Reverend D. L. Harvey and Reverend Greg Harvey officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Honoring the family as pallbearers will be James Griffith, Trey Griffith, Mark Carlson, Brad Henderson, Dustan Halford, and Jason Schofield. Honorary pallbearers will be Bud and Leonard Schofield.
