Drug bust

Detectives from Baytown’s Special Operations Unit arrested two men and a woman and took a quantity of methamphetamines from a business in the 4600 block of Interstate 10 Tuesday.

Police said the men were charged for possession of a controlled substance while the woman was found to have outstanding warrants from Harris County.

Vehicle

burglaries

-Someone broke into a vehicle while it was parked in the 4900 block of Magnolia Cove sometime late Monday or early Tuesday. Stolen items included a laptop computer, key card and an Internet stick. Estimated loss is $1,260.

-Police said someone punched in the door lock to break into a vehicle parked in the 6700 block of Decatur Avenue late Monday or early Tuesday.

-A resident of the 4900 block of Laredo told police someone broke into two of his vehicles late Monday or early Tuesday. Items worth about $450 were stolen.

-A resident on Berkley Court told police he found a stranger trying to break into his vehicle about 9:50 p.m. Tuesday.

Auto theft

A Baytown woman told police her black 2008 Chevrolet Silverado pickup was stolen from the parking lot of a business in the 3100 block of Garth road between 12:30 a.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday.

40 offenses

Between Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, Baytown police wrote 40 offense reports and investigated incidents that included one assault; two auto thefts; one burglary of a building; eight vehicle burglaries; three forgeries; four thefts; and nine miscellaneous cases.

Officers also worked eight traffic accidents. There were related injuries reported in two of those accidents.
