The Lee College Student Government Association will host its annual fall blood drive Nov. 10, 11 and 12 in the Student Center Cyber Café.

The goal of the drive is to collect 450 units of blood.

Times for blood donation vary over the three-day event.

• Nov. 10 and 12 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

• Nov. 11 from noon-6 p.m.

Appointments are not necessary but can be scheduled by contacting Mike Spletter at 281-425-6861.

For those who cannot donate, but would like to participate, the SGA will hold a food donation drive during the week of Nov. 9-13. Donation boxes are available in the Student Center. Every 10 cans donated equals one unit of blood.

The Missouri Street Church and Lee College Project Leeway are the recipients of the canned food donations.

Missouri Street’s food pantry has been open since 1987 and serves 100 families a week. The church is also Baytown’s point of collection for Channel 13’s Share Your Holiday food drive.

“All help is greatly appreciated,” Church Secretary Cathy Read said.

The Gulf Coast Blood Center is the recipient of the blood collected.
