Charles “Chuck” Henry Tenney, Jr.
Charles “Chuck” Henry Tenney, Jr., 56, passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2009, in a local hospital. He was born to Charles Henry Tenney and Mollie Borskey Tenney on May 28, 1953, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He proudly served his country in the National Guard for 23 years and was a faithful member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. He had a thirty-five year career as a drug manager for Kroger. Chuck enjoyed playing golf, cooking for family and friends, watching football and dancing to Cajun music; but he was most happy when he was with his family. He had a heart as big as the world and would do anything to help out anyone who crossed his path.

Preceded in death by his father, Charles is survived by his mother, Mollie Tenney, of New Iberia, Louisiana; wife, Kendra Tenney; son, Chance Tenney and wife, Chere, of New Iberia; daughters, Ashley Eastin and husband, Chris, of Houston, Crystal Tobat and husband, Mike, of New Iberia, and Caitlyn Tenney, of Baytown; three grandchildren, Michael, Bree and Alise; brothers, John Tenney, of Wesley Chapel, Florida, and Lyle Tenney, of New Iberia; sister, Mollie Diane Mullen; and numerous other friends and extended family.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 6, 2009, from 6 – 8 p.m., with a vigil at 5:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Crespo & Jirrels. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2009, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, with Reverend Terence P. Brinkman, S.T.D. as celebrant.
