Esther Marie Bogard McKinzie

Esther Marie Bogard McKinzie, 93, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009. She was born Oct. 8, 1916, in Newbern, TN, to Thomas Jefferson and Willie D. Turner.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, two sisters; husbands, Malcolm Bogard and Frank McKinzie; daughter, Mary Sue Noxon and son, Melvin Lynn Bogard.

She is survived by her sister, Alice Walker of Paducah, KY; son, Edward Bogard and wife Darla of Alief, TX; daughter-in-law, Lee Bogard of Church Point, LA; daughter, Linda Williams and husband Gary of Baytown, TX; grandchildren, Kenny Bogard, David Bogard, Renita Whithrow, Kelvin Bellard, Anna Michal Eiland and Christopher Williams; seven great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

The family would like to express their thanks to the staff of Green Acres Nursing Home for their loving care, Compassionate Care Hospice and most of all, her church family, East Side Church of Christ, for their support throughout the years.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, at Earthman Baytown Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, at Earthman Baytown Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Grand View Memorial Park, 8501 Spencer Hwy., Pasadena, TX.

Serving as pallbearers will be Gary Williams, Chris Williams, Michael Eiland, Mark McGinnis, Audis Smith and Lindy Murff.
