BRENHAM Time of possession in the end zone is never a problem when Baytown Christian and Round Rock Christian square off in six-man football.
Saturday, for the second time in 15 days, the Crusaders had the scoring edge, winning 75-62 over the BCA in an independent league playoff game.
Round Rock Christian had defeated the Bulldogs 66-51 when they played in Baytown Oct. 17.
“You’ve got to hold serve in six-man football and we didn’t do that,” BCA coach Donald Houser said. “We had a couple of turnovers and they cost us.”
Christian Domingeaux was a standout for BCA, coming up with two interceptions and a fumble recovery on defense. He scored on a kickoff return and a pass receiving TD.
Terrance Moore also scored twice for BCA, once on a kickoff return and another time rushing. Joseph Domingeaux ran for two TDs. Caleb Harp had a 79-yard TD run, Sam Peacock scored from short range and Brandon Horne and Austin Wilson each passed for TDs.
The Bulldogs, now 2-7, will host Mount Carmel at 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, in a non-district homecoming game. BCA will most likely continue its season the next week in the T-CAL playoffs.
“Our guys didn’t play bad today,” Houser said. “We just didn’t make as many big plays as they did.”
