Importance: Sterling fell short of the playoffs but still looks to earn its first District 21-5A win against a team unbeaten in league play.
Barbers Hill at North Forest
When/Where: Tonight, 7 p.m. at Jones-Cowart Stadium
Records: Barbers Hill 4-5 (3-3) North Forest 0-9 (0-6)
Last year’s scores: North Forest 36-15
Importance: Barbers Hill is fighting for the playoffs and needs this win.
Lee at North Shore
When/Where: Galena Park ISD Stadium
Records Lee 3-5 (2-1), North Shore 6-2 (2-1)
Last year’s scores: North Shore 48-7
Importance: Lee’s playoff spot is secure, but the Ganders would like a good showing to build confidence for the post-season. North Shore needs a win to set up a championship shootout with West Brook for next week.
Dayton at C.E. King
When/Where: Today, 7 p.m., Crenshaw Memorial Stadium
Records: Dayton 6-2 (5-1), C.E. King 5-4 (3-3)
Last year’s scores: Dayton 46-7
Importance: Dayton’s in the playoffs, C.E. King is fighting to get in the playoffs. The only way for that, though, is for King to win and for Barbers Hill to lose.
Galena Park at Crosby

Records: Galena Park 1-7 (1-5), Crosby 6-2 (6-0)
Last year’s scores: Crosby 20-7
Importance: Crosby is looking to be the outright 19-4A champion.
Anahuac at Warren

Records: Anahuac 6-2 (3-1), Warren 3-5 (1-3)
Last year’s scores: Anahuac 51-0
Importance: The Panthers will clinch a playoff spot with a win.
Kingwood Park at GCM
When/Where: Saturday, 2 p.m.
Records: Kingwood Park 4-5 (2-4), GCM 6-3 (4-2)
Last year’s scores: GCM 34-10
Importance: Last year, GCM went 1-8, and its only win was over Kingwood Park.
BCA vs. Round Rock Christian Academy
When/Where: Saturday, 2 p.m., Brenham
Records: Round Rock 3-5, BCA 2-6
Importance: The winner takes third place in the Independent League playoffs.
