James Taylor
James Taylor, 84 passed away on Monday, October 26, 2009 in San Jacinto Hospital.

James was born March 30, 1925, in Brookshire, Texas to King and Mary Taylor. He moved to Baytown, Texas at the age of 16 where his life began to take form.

On October 27, 1946, he married Alclair Allen Taylor, and together they had two daughters, Mary Ann Taylor and Jo Ann Taylor Jackson, whom he loved dearly, two grandchildren; William Jackson and Lesli Taylor-Brock. One great-grandson Gabriel Brock, special extended family member; David Durio, God-child; Jonathan Hebert, and a host treasured family, friends, and loved ones.

All of whom have survived his death and will cherish his memories.

James was a member of New Testament Missionary Baptist Church and served as a faithful and devoted founding member, deacon and usher.

He retired from Exxon Mobile Refinery in 1983, as Supervisor after completing 40 years of service; co-owner and operator of Allen's Barbeque; and served as a lord of Top Ladies of Distinction/Top Teens of American; and involved in many other community projects, including board member of J.D. Walker Community Center. He enjoyed family and friends ' gatherings, traveling, and living his Christian life to the fullest. He will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father King Taylor, his mother; Mary William Taylor, sister; Dorothy Taylor, and (2) brothers; Clarence and Dave Taylor.

The celebration of his life will be held Saturday, October 31, 2009 @ Unity Missionary Baptist Church, 2625 Broad Street, Baytown, Texas.

Visitation is from 9a.m. - 10:55a.m. Funeral service will commence at 11am. with Pastor Ural L. Williams of Way of Zion Outreach Ministry in Houston, Texas, officiating. Interment @ Earthman Memory Garden Cemetery, Baytown.
