PUMPKIN PATCH TO OPEN MONDAY

Baytown First Church of the Nazarene’s 7th annual Pumpkin Patch will open Monday and remain open daily, except for Sunday, through Oct. 31. Hours are 2 to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday. Prices start as low as 50 cents and all proceeds go toward the church’s youth group mission trips and the like.

HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL PROMISES SCARY GOOD TIME

Baytown’s little ghosts, goblins, Jedi knights and pretty princesses can have a scary good time at the City of Baytown’s 36th Annual Halloween Carnival, Saturday, Oct. 24. The carnival will be held from 11 am – 1 pm at the Baytown Community Center, 2407 Market Street.

Admission to the carnival is free, including games, candy and prizes, and a costume contest (beginning promptly at noon). Booths selling food and beverages, face painting, train rides, and more will round out the carnival experience.

HAUNTED WOODS

The woods near Gene’s Polaris, located at 12525 Interstate 10 East, will become The Haunted Woods from 8-11 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24, with the help of Boy Scout Troop No. 105. Parking is free, and admission to the event is $5. Concessions will include hot cider and cocoa. Call 281-385-5890 for more information.
