Someone broke into the Primary Medical Clinic in the 2800 block of Garth Road and stole $500 worth of property sometime between Saturday and 8 a.m. Monday, police said.
BARC theft
Police said that over the weekend, property worth $2,206 was stolen from the Bay Area Rehabilitation Center in the 5300 block of Decker Drive.
Baytown police stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Massey-Tompkins Road at North Highway 146 about 6:30 p.m. Monday and wound up with two suspects wanted for more than that.
The driver and passenger, both Baytown residents; were already wanted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, police said. An officer noticed the pair because they were not using seatbelts.
West James
A resident in the 300 block of West James called police Monday to report that his home was burglarized between 7 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. while he was away at work. Guns, televisions and computers were among the items stolen. Total loss is estimated at more than $9,000.
A portable DVD player and a large box of candy were stolen from a residence in the 400 block of Clyde Drive that was burglarized over the weekend, police said.
Someone broke into a home in the 5100 block of Interlachen between 8:45 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday and stole $6,700 worth of televisions and computer items, according to police.
Burglars broke into a home in the 2700 block of Virginia Monday and stole several pieces of jewelry and a digital camera. The crime occurred when the residents left the home for a few hours, between 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
• Someone stole $100 worth of property from a vehicle that was burglarized sometime late Sunday or early Monday while parked at an apartment complex in the 4600 block of Quail Hollow.
• A Jenson CD/DVD player and a jacket were stolen from a truck that was broken into while parked at the mall in the 6900 block of Garth Road between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday. Loss is $720.
• A 29-year-old Baytown man was arrested after he was caught trying to steal several Nintendo DS video games and a Sony portable DVD player from the Sears store in the 6900 block of Garth Road Monday.
• Two Highlands men were arrested Monday when they were caught trying to steal $100 worth of CDs from a store in the 4900 block of Garth.
Between Monday and Tuesday mornings, Baytown police wrote 36 offense reports and investigated incidents that included two assaults; one auto theft; seven burglaries of buildings; three vehicle burglaries; three criminal mischief cases; one forgery case; four thefts; and six miscellaneous cases. Officers also worked seven traffic accidents. There were related injuries reported in one of those accidents.
