The Lee College Foundation will host its 24th annual gala fundraiser at the Goose Creek Country Club on Thursday, Oct. 22 with a reception starting at 6:30 p.m. and dinner at 7:30 p.m.
The cost is $100 for individuals and table sponsorships are available. Seating is limited and reservations are required.
The evening will feature a live auction. Bidders can compete for four luxury suite tickets, VIP parking and four pre-game side-line passes for the Houston Texan vs. Tennessee Titans game scheduled for Nov. 23. Deer hunting enthusiasts can vie for a hunting trip on the Nueces River with hunter extraordinaire Eddie Gray at his La Paloma ranch, located north of Crystal City. The package includes food and lodging for four people for three days and two nights. Winners must be available to hunt either the weekend of Nov. 13 or Dec. 4. Top bidders can also rival for an evening with State Representative Wayne Smith and his wife Brenda at their home on beautiful Burnet Bay, which includes catering from Outback Steakhouse for a maximum of 12 guests.
In addition, a silent auction will be available during the gala.
“In addition to our always popular silent and live auctions, we will be ‘Standing Up for Scholarships” this year, said Lee College Foundation Grant Officer Pam Warford.
“During the program, we will invite everyone to show their support for scholarships. All you have to do is stand up and raise the paddle provided you to indicate a pledge for Lee College scholarships.”
Warford adds, “With our increase in enrollment this year, even more deserving students are in need financial assistance. Come to the Gala, bring some friends, enjoy the food and fellowship, shop the auctions and be ready to support Lee College students by Standing Up for Scholarships!”
