Calvin Preston Giles Jr.

Calvin Preston Giles Jr. 61, of Huffman, Texas passed away on November 1, 2008 in Highlands, Texas. Calvin was born September 16, 1947 in Baytown, Texas to Calvin Sr. and Evelyn (Bohannon) Giles. Calvin worked as a carpenter and has lived in the Houston area all of his life. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

Calvin is preceded in death by his parents Calvin Sr. and Evelyn Giles. He is survived by his son Dale Giles, daughter Crystal Sowa and husband Michael, daughter Misty Payne and husband Terence, son Jody Giles, brother Windell Giles, sister Florence Gambill, sister Pearl Kotrla and husband Eugene, sister Dorothy Thompkins and husband Eddie, brother Lawrence Wayne Giles and wife Gloria, grandchildren; LaShawn Harrison, Terence Payne Jr., Arden Sowa, Marquis Payne, Aubrie Sowa and many other relatives and friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 from 5-8pm at Sterling-White. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, November 6, 2008 10am at Plum Grove Baptist Church with interment following at Plum Grove Cemetery.
