Gift giving ideas II

As promised, here are some more web sites and gift ideas for a last-minute effort to get done with Christmas shopping. If you really can’t find what you’re after, you can always just go to an electronics store and browse the aisles for ideas. Don’t forget the checkout area, as they have neat little things that can be used as stocking stuffers as well.

Speaking of neat little things, I often find myself playing with little stuff around my computer desk. Getting computer desktop toys sometimes go over very well with the little kids, and even us adult kids too.

Some things people often overlook for themselves are laptop accessories. You can get them a new laptop bag, or even a laptop backpack. The backpack is a convenient way for students to lug their laptop from class to class or to the library. It has extra padding so the laptop should be safe. Look for the special backpacks where laptop bags are normally found.

You can also get a wireless mouse and keyboard kit if that special someone has been complaining about the cords getting in their way. Even if they don’t complain, a wireless mouse is always a hit. Some wireless mice are rechargeable so you won’t have to worry about changing out batteries. Just plug it in its charger after each use and it’ll always be ready with plenty of power.

For those you’d like to send a last minute card to, you can send them an electronic card to their e-mail very quickly and easily. Some sites even let you schedule when you want the card to be sent so you can do a whole bunch in advance, not just for Christmas, but for other occasions too.

Some of the nicer greeting card web sites are as follows: www.hallmark.com, www.bluemountain.com, and www.americangreetings.com. Free membership may be required, but you get a lot of benefit from joining, like a mailing list to help you manage your list of friends and family.

Check out my web site www.TexasComputerGuru.com for supplemental information and previous articles as well.
