Juneteenth parade travels McNair

A parade celebrating Juneteenth will traverse the streets of McNair today at 11 a.m. followed by a party at the J.D. Walker Community Center.
Today marks the final celebration of Juneteenth in McNair. A breakfast will kick off festivities at 8 a.m. at the community center at 7613 Wade Road. The event is open to the public.
Twelve floats, including one spotlighting the Miss Juneteenth pageant winner, will travel from Battlebell to Jones, on to Harrison and circle back to Wade.
The party afterward is expected to last until 11 p.m. and includes food, entertainment and a domino tournament.
The tournament cost is $10 per team.
