Texas Shock 07, an AAU club softball team made up partly of local girls, recently won the USFA State Championship in the 14U division, open class. Back row from left are, Emma Martinez, Ahiza Garcia, Itzel Gonzalez, Myah Ruiz, Erianna Garcia and Khamari Hall; Bottom row from left Celeste Diaz, McKenna Rinewalt, Tori Dahnke, Ambi Linscombe, Sophia Kimble and Tiannah Martins.

It may be a Shock, but softball is still an option for some girls in the Baytown area despite the COVID-19 pandemic squashing so many opportunities.

The Texas Shock, an AAU program, is plugging along and David Dahnke is trying to make sure the young ladies have an opportunity to curb their competitive fix.
