Lee College sophomore and Barbers Hill graduate Jessica Hardin and others like her are seeking a new home after the college canceled the upcoming athletic season.

Lee College sophomore volleyball player and Barbers Hill alum Jessica Hardin is scrambling to find a new future following school president Dr. Lynda Villanueva’s announcement to suspend athletics for the 2020-21 campaign due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“As of right now I am just looking for a new place to call home and shooting out as many emails as I can,” Hardin said. “The recruiting process is already difficult and it is especially hard this late in the year. I have already been in contact with coaches and coaches have reached out to me. I think I will probably move my focus towards another JUCO, but I know I will find a good place for me.”
