MONT BELVIEU — Barbers Hill head coach Tom Westerberg isn’t putting too much stock in his opponent’s record this week. Judging from past experience, you can’t really blame him.

The Eagles will travel to Dayton to take on their neighbors in a spirited game of football at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Barbers Hill has rebounded from a season-opening loss to win two in a row. Dayton hasn’t been as fortunate, dropping three to start the season. But each team will be 0-0 when they open district play this week. Both teams have had an extra week to heal, improve and prepare for this game.
