Printed by the Texas Historical Commission, 2017. Texas and The Great War, P. 34 and 35.

“Battleship Texas is the worlds oldest surviving dreadnaught, a powerful battleship class of World War I era. After 34 years of service, including action during both world wars, the USS Texas became the nation’s first memorial battleship in 1948. It was later designated a National Historic Landmark.”

Why would we not want Battleship Texas to come stay in Baytown, with all the history that was made in this area. Lee College, great idea for students.
