Notice I said “long hair” because the school district says that - not dreadlocks - is the reason they won’t let the senior young man graduate.

I would bet my bottom dollar there are other students in Barbers Hill ISD with hair as long or longer. Sure, they may be female with ponytails or braids but long hair - is long hair!

If the school district maintains that the problem isn’t the dreadlocks, that’s saying they aren’t racist. But saying it’s too long is certainly sexist and it’s wrong!

Come into the 21st century!
