It was great news to hear the Greenpeace protesters who caused so much havoc by hanging over the side of Fred Hartman bridge were going to be charged with both state and federal charges because they deserved to be punished for their actions. But then we find out Democrat Judge Hazel Jones has let them out on personal recognizance bonds which means none of them will show up for court.

This action by Judge Jones is a slap in the face of every citizen in Harris County — the commuters who were stuck in traffic, the folks who risked their lives cleaning up their mess and the voters who expect our judges to use common sense when deciding who gets out on a simple PR bond. This is what we get when we elect Democrat activist judges. Judge Jones is up for re-election in 2020 and I hope everyone who was stuck in traffic remembers her name and poor handling of this case.
